The composite bow has been around for thousands of years, during which time it changed the boundaries of Asia and Europe. Once you consider the devastating effect of these bows in the hands of a trained soldier, it is easy to understand how important these bows were in shaping the rich history of the ancient world.

The composite bow is truly an exceptional weapon. Tony and Lukas were both drawn to these great bows by their graceful lines and legendary shooting ability, and with a vision of creating such a weapon, began to research and eventually build these magnificent bows. They have closely inspected large collections of composite bows in both the United States and the United Kingdom while gathering information from a variety of sources, including Jeff Schmidt, one of the few experienced bowyers knowledgeable in the construction of composite bows.
"Based upon our own observations and what we have constructed in the last several years, we can confidently say that the composite bow is truly a remarkable weapon. The bows require the utmost respect and care. They store tremendous amounts of energy, which propel arrows at amazing velocities.

Since Asiatic composite bows are the minority in the current resurgence of natural material archery, our goal is to introduce the public to these great bows while at the same time, offering items that are individually unique and expertly hand-crafted. Very few civilizations still practice the art of composite bow making and it is our mission to maintain this ancient art form."
Asiatic composite bows are among the most fascinating pieces of archery equipment in the world. Nearly anyone who has ever read or seen these bows is amazed with the construction and craftsmanship that is required to produce such a beautiful, yet deadly weapon. A core of hard maple is used for the base along with mulberry for the siyahs. Our water buffalo horn was procured from Thailand during one of our trips abroad. The paired horns are carefully cut out and then meticulously hand ground to the desired thickness. Once the horn is glued to the core, the siyahs and width of the bow is roughly shaped.
Next, the sinew is laboriously prepared, providing strands of ideal length to cover the back of the bow. During the proper time of year, the core is carefully sinewed, providing the ultimate in backings. Once fully sinewed, the bows will sit quietly, while they cure.
Once cured, they will be strung, checked for alignment, corrected, shot and re-strung over the next few weeks. As the bows learn to bend, they are constantly examined and corrected. When the bows take to their desired shape, they are covered with thin leather. They are then painted to the customers taste and then sealed.
