Dear Lukas,
Just a little email to show you my latest game; a very nice shoot at 20 yards while he was running!
The Ibex is so smooth and fast that I hardly realized how the arrow left my bow to hit the deer in such a fast time. I'm so happy to hunt with your bow!
Take care.
Your friend,
MaNu

Just wanted to send along a pic of a recent hunt using your Genghis bow I love the way it shoots. The arrow went right where I wanted it to. 200 lb. boar!
Have a great holiday season.

Lucas, I got the turk from (name deleted) last week. (numbers deleted) is the
serial no. I thought it was kinda cute, and would make a good play bow. I was
truly amazed at the performance of this bow. I went to the yard and promptly
lost the first five arrows in the snow, shot over the back of the bear target.
I "calibrated" my brain and shot the next five arrows into a group
of 4". I continued to do thiis all afternnoon, and the next two days. To
some this may not be amazing, but I practice at 30-35 Yds, and have never shot
that well in my life. I got the bow in spite of the way it looked in the pictures
which Gerry sent me. I was not sure about the light wood and the strange staining
of the limbs. When I got the bow in hand, and was able to see the whole bow,
I quickly changed my mind. The limbs are stained a reddish brown near the handle,
and fade to black toward the tip, beautiful bow.
After shooting this bow, and having looked at and shot another Ibex, I have,
in the last two weeks, sold a Great northern recurve, a Fox High Sierra, a Borderbow,
Black Douglas Swift, and My Horne ridgerunner is for sale. I cannot go back
to them after shooting your bows.
The down side, the only down side of this bow is that my wife wants it. I told
her she could shoot it, but it was mine.
Anyway, Please do the takedown Turk 55@30 first, as it will be my hunting bow
this year. Then do up the takedown Ibex 55@30 , and as soon as you get a demo
Scythian in the 45-55@28 range, please send it to me to try, as I really would
like to try one. I do draw 30" but I would like to try one.
Just make the bows pretty, hows that for direction. match the grips as well
as you can, and throw some stain on the bamboo. .
I also heard that the Orxy is redesigned. If you have a brochure or some pics,
please send them out to me as the website is somewhat out dated.
Let me know how much the bows will be, and again thank you for your time.

Greetings from Sweden! I've been shooting my "Salukis"
for a while now and must tell you that I never had or shot any bow like these
before. First of all, the blend of craftsmanship, performance, artistry and
not mention, the design(!), makes them stand out even from the best bows out
there. They have proven this several times at archery gatherings where they
always draw attention.
Sometimes I have a hard time to choose which one of them to go out and shoot
with, three fingers with the Turk or thumbring with the Genghis??! No matter
which one, they are both just as fun and pleasurable to shoot with, for hours
on end!
I thought that my quest for "the bow" was over when I got yours but
now I just can't wait what you will come up with next!
Once again, thanks for truly great bows and you'll be hearing from me again.
Best regards,
Paul Slawik

Hi Guys!
Sorry its' been too long since I visited, but I wanted to express my gratitude
for your incredible bows!
Since September, your new model Oryx has been amazing. I am kind of mad about
how many arrows I break using
it,though. At 30yds or less, I can count on shattering a nock off an arrow already
in the target, or slipping
a carbon arrow inside the last shot! I switched to a slightly less poundage(down
to 53lbs), and am having
great success with it. I can take a weakened shoulder(rotator cuff tears) through
sessions with no
pain, and have much better accuracy! The smaller groupings are expensive, though!(see
above arrow
report). This is my 3rd Saluki, and I'm certain not my last. Even though they
all shoot with incredible grace
and speed, the workmanship will always bring me back for my next order! These
are not bows...they are fully
functional art! Your bows are simply addictive. I have begun the process of
selling off my other bows, as I
haven't used one in ages. They all don't stand a chance when compared to yours!

Lukas,
Well I just wanted to give you an update on my Turk. After being out for about
a month and a half after tearing a muscle in my forearm (work related) I finally
had the opportunity to shoot the bow again. This time with arrows that were
spined in the 60-65 lbs range. The bow you made for me is 55lbs, and the arrows
that I shoot off of my other recurve and longbow were spined at 55lbs. They
didn't shoot well off the Turk. I shot a friends 65-70 arrows and it shot like
a dream, so I bought some new ones and now it shoots like a dream. I think the
thing I'm most shocked about is that when I first shot the bow I was on a 20
target and I was shooting about 18" high from where I normally release.
I've had to work at retraining my body to shoot the faster arrow. Its been a
blast. You have a customer for life.
Thanks again for making the experience awesome,
Arleigh Hamilton

I just received my new Turk and let me say WOW!. This bow is fast and beautiful. During my research for custom bows and bowyers I noticed that I never once saw your bows for resale anywhere, now I know why. This bow is compact, light and very, very fast. It feels good in my hand and looks great on my wall. I dont think Ill need another bow for a long time but if I do, youll be hearing from me. Thank you for your excellent communication during the building process too, that made my experience in the world of custom bows much easier. It also ensured that I got exactly want I was envisioning from the start.
With any luck after a few months on the range youll be hearing from some of my friends.
Thanks again,
Arleigh Hamilton

"The Saluki Ibex is one of the finest bows I own. Design,
fit and finish, and function are superb and its performance with cedar and carbon
arrows is outstanding. I haven't tried aluminum yet but I'm sure the results
will be the same. The structure of the bow allows me to use arrows of different
materials and spine weight without loss of accuracy or speed. The draw is smooth
and there is no stacking or hand shock. This bow is at home on the range or
in the field. My once favored longbows now have a serious competitor in their
midst!"

Dear Lukas,
Three years ago, as a result of extraordinary circumstances, I set out to own one of every custom longbow and selfbow built in North America and Canada. Living in what I consider to be the Golden Age of Traditional Archery, and given the means, what else could I do?
I determined that what I would look for in a fine bow would be performance, craftsmanship, choice and use of materials, and design. From the start I was a little disappointed in what I saw. Gradually a few bows came my way that had many of the qualities I was looking for. Then I received my first Saluki Grandeur and realized I had left out four additional qualities I hadnt seen or thought of: artistry, inspiration, originality, and passion. As a result of that first Saluki I discovered that inspiration and passion were as tangible to me in a bow as a well tillered limb or a finely designed grip. My first Saluki set a new standard for me and really narrowed the field for what I now consider a truly fine bow..
Having just added an Oryx to my collection, and realizing that your imagination never rests, my collection will continue to grow with Salukis.
Sincerely,
Bob Moon

Jim Akins (11/14/2002)
Hello,
Greetings from Dublin! Just wanted to drop a note to you to tell you how wonderful
my Ibex is! I can't believe how smooth and fast this bow is. At 56lbs., it pulls
like 45, and shoots like a 70 pounder! I have shot it through a chronograph
and have results ranging from 211fps with a 540gr. wood arrow to 231fps with
a carbon express! The point of aim seems to never change! I am a bit sad to
see all my other bows get dusty just hanging on the wall, but I seem to only
shoot the Ibex....
Workmanship second to none...Beautiful design...Incredible performance...I can't imagine a better bow. I am used to paying attention to detail as an inventor, instrument designer, professor and musician. You have captured all these traits in your work of art, the Ibex.
Great to have had the chance to meet with you guys! Every time I pick up the bow, it reminds me of my visit with you!

" It is astoundingly fast, it throws my 630 grain ash arrows with serious intent, it is the quietest bow with wood arrows I have ever shot, it has graceful lines, it is as light as a wild turkey feather, it displays exquisite craftsmanship, and best of all, it makes me a more confident and accurate shooter. "

Hello Lukas,
I am so impressed with my Saluki bow that I am lost for words. I have a very critical eye, and yet at every turn I find only the highest craftmanship, design and performance. And the beauty is beyond compare. I appreciate your sense of color, shape, balance, texture and materials.
Although I own and have the highest respect for well made bows which include fiberglass, I feel much more connected to a fine wood bow, and yours is the finest I can imagine.
My Granduer has taken archery to a new level for me. It is as if a mythical bow from a distant time has appeared in my life.. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Bob Moon

"The more I shoot this bow the more I truly enjoy it. Glass-free bamboo has life when drawn to anchor and released. I can't begin to describe it but the feeling is unmistakable - powerful and smooth and ever so damp in the hand after the shot. I've owned several deep-cored bamboo bows with very thin layers of fiberglass but the shooting characteristics simply can not compare to the Grandeur. I can say without hesitation that Lukas and Tony have built me the finest bow I have ever owned or had the pleasure of shooting."
